Black Lives Still Matter

Got a little behind on my protest images. Time to catch up!

On Friday, I went to "March for Breonna Taylor" hosted by 3 individuals. Per the event description: "This March will be for the demand of the arrest of Breonna Taylor's killers. We want to take time to remember, learn about, and admire her life. Though we do want to shine a light on black women's suffering, we also want to take a moment to highlight the lives that have been lost just in the few weeks of George Floyds passing. A few names on the list are,"Toyin" Salau, Robert Fuller, Malcolm Harsch,Tshegofatso Pule, Riah Milton, and Rem'Mie."

On Saturday, I went to "Black Lives Matter Here - Counterprotest to Pro-Police Rally" hosted by Slaughterhouse Education. Per their description: "This Saturday, Bikers for Trump are hosting a "Back the Blue" Pro-Police Rally at the Governor's Mansion. Let's show them that Black Lives matter here and their assbackwards beliefs are outnumbered."

Later on Saturday, I attended "Black Womxn March 2020" hosted by 6 individuals. Per their event description: "Come out and march with us as we celebrate and empower ALL Black women. The purpose of this march is to allow all Black Womxn, Black Trans, Black Drag, and Black LGBTQI+ to be heard And be an active community member during this time of social change. This is our space to embrace and hold each other up while advocating for the advancement of our community. Come out, be loud, be proud. It’s time our to show who runs the world."

Then today, Sunday, I attended "Taking Back Pride: Justice4GeorgeFloyd DefendBlackTransFolks" hosted by 25 different organizations. Per their event description:

"March Demands:

- Justice4GeorgeFloyd and all victims of police murder

- Defend Black Trans Folks

- Community Control of the Police
