ME: My photography soul has changed over the years. I've always loved images but began shooting seriously after my divorce in 2009. Since then, I have improved my eye but, more recently, I have improved my heart. I create my images with my heart, meaning photography is a mindfulness practice for me, looking for humanity and conceptualizing its essence in imagery.

OUR VALUES: MarKei isn't just about taking pretty pictures or making rad videos. I am a passionate humanist & intersectional feminist. I love capturing the beauty and complexity of this earth and its inhabitants. I use my art to connect humanity to itself.

​

VOLUNTEERING: I shoot headshots, families, engagements, weddings, senior pics, boudoir... all the things! However, one of the things that sets me apart is my focus on humanism and social justice. I volunteer my skills for local community and social justice events, documenting important stories and elevating their voices. Scroll the blog to see some of the events I've documented.​
